The GHS Annual Christmas Flower Show
We’re excited to invite everyone to take part in our Annual Christmas Flower Show! Whether you're a seasoned gardener, floral enthusiast, or just love getting creative with festive decorations, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your talents. Join us in spreading the holiday spirit with stunning displays that can also double as beautiful additions to your own Christmas decor.
This year, the show will be held at the Fine Arts Gallery in Casemates, offering the perfect setting for you to display your floral artistry.
Whether you prefer traditional Christmas arrangements or want to experiment with contemporary designs, all kinds of natural floral and plant-based displays are welcome.
Spaces are limited and fill up fast, so we encourage participants to register early to avoid disappointment!
How to Participate
Add a touch of festive elegance to your holiday celebrations and showcase your creativity. This is your chance to design breathtaking decorations that will be the star of your Christmas experience! Whether you prefer traditional or modern styles, we welcome all interpretations that bring the festive spirit to life.
You can enter into any number of the below categories:
Class 1: Wreath &, or Swag
Class 2: Dining Table Centerpiece
Class 3: Side Table Arrangement
Class 4: Decorated Candlestick
Class 5: Inspired Decoration
Schools, Clubs or Individual Youth Categories
Class A: Winter holiday display made from natural materials such as plants, wood, shells, cones, dried leaves or paper.
Class B: Pine cone decoration.
Class C: Paper plate scene or decoration.
Competition Guidelines
Materials: We discourage the use of plastic in any of the classes. Instead opt for flowers, foliage, fruits, or any other plant-based elements to create a visually stunning pieces.
Size: Make sure your arrangement is appropriately sized for its category. For example, a dining table centerpiece should strike a balance between visual appeal and practicality, allowing space for a comfortable meal.
Style: The theme is festive and seasonal, but the style is completely up to you. Whether you opt for traditional reds and greens, winter whites, or a more rustic look with natural elements, we want to see your creativity shine.
Conditions of Entry
GHS members & children: Free entry. Non GHS members: £5.00 (covering all submissions).
Candles and other accessories are permitted in any given Class.
Children can enter into any class. Judging is based on two age groups: Up to 11 years and 12 to 17 years.
Exhibits used in the past will not be accepted.

The Itinerary
MONDAY, 2nd:
10:00 AM – 17:00 PM - Deliver your exhibits to the Fine Arts Gallery.
Staging Cards. You will be asked to complete a staging card to sit alongside your exhibit. There will be stewards on hand to offer assistance on the day.
TUESDAY, 3rd:
13:00 PM - Judging. Our judges will be looking for creativity, craftsmanship, and that extra festive flair in every display, so be sure to bring your A-game! All winners will be notified by phone.
18:00 PM - The prize giving and Christmas party will take place at 18:00 PM. Attendance is by invitation only.
Prize Giving & Celebrations
The Prize Giving Ceremony and Christmas Party will take place at 18:00 PM on the 3rd December, by invitation only.
